Since its inception in 2013, Brixton Forged has been pushing the boundaries in the high-end performance aftermarket wheel industry with its immaculate attention to detail, lightweight forged materials and unique manufacturing processes.
My introduction to the company came early last year after writing the debut feature on the Liberty Walk x Brixton Forged wide body Nissan GT-R that appeared at SEMA 2014. For this latest project, I joined forces with the progressive wheel manufacturer on their newest build, nicknamed #ProjectGoWide: a Pirelli-sponsored, blacked-out Liberty Walk GT-R built and tuned by famed automotive gurus Nextmod, MS Autobody and Advanced Powerhouse.
Choosing an eerie underground tunnel (pictured, top) and garage setting fit for the beastly GT-R, the shoot highlighted both the incredible build and bespoke wheels by Brixton Forged. With the help of some lighting, each image was shot with a Canon 1D X and EF 24-70mm f/2.8 II USM lens.
Along with the owner, Nextmod and Brixton Forged chose a set of R25 Monaco two-piece forged wheels in monstrous 21x12- and 21x13.5-inch fitments, front and rear. The high-luster polished carbon bronze barrels and 120-grit brushed smoke black faces complemented the build perfectly, giving a subtle touch of class while keeping the overall theme bold and powerful.
#ProjectGoWide will make its public debut this November at the SEMA 2015 show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Find the feature on BrixtonForged.com here.
