Porsche Canada GT3 Cup Challenge Canada

The Porsche Canada GT3 Cup series launched its 2019 season this past weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport) in Bowmanville, Ontario. Taking part in the annual Victoria Day Speedfest activities at the former Grand Prix circuit, the GT3 Cup series debuted with a strong 16-driver lineup led by 2018 runner-up Roman De Angelis, and an impressive rookie and sophomore contigent.

Sophomore Jeff Kingsley of Policaro Motorsports (pictured, above) captured his first overall victory in the series in race 1 on Saturday, while De Angelis (below) took top honours in race 2 in his Mark Motors car, showing the same dominant form that he carried throughout the 2018 season.

Rounds 3 and 4 of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada series take place during the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix weekend at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec from June 7 to 9.
