The prestigious home of some of motorsport's greatest events, since opening in 1959, the 2.5-mile (4.0 km) high-speed tri-oval has been the site of NASCAR's greatest race: the Daytona 500.

Hosting as many as 147,000 visitors on race day, the circuit has also played host to AMA Superbikes, the Sports Car Club of America, and the infamous IMSA 24 Hours at Daytona endurance race, which sees the infield open up to a 3.56-mile (5.73 km) sportscar course.
